Significant back pain is not fun and it can feel like you aren’t going to get anywhere with it ever. And, unfortunately, back pain is one of those things that almost all of us deal with at some point.
Rest can be helpful in the very first stages (day 1-3), but the more that you can move, without increasing your pain, the better you will be.
The good news is that while back pain is incredibly common, only a small fraction—less than 5%—of cases actually progress to a point where surgery is needed. For most of us, non-surgical treatments like targeted exercise, physical therapy, and lifestyle adjustments do the trick.
So if you're dealing with back pain, know that it's likely manageable with conservative care, and surgery is rarely the only option and within this document is a range of back pain treatment support plans I can support you with.
