One of the things I see with people with carpal tunnel is that they are not creating effective force up the chain – often the wrist is loaded.  For shearers for example, this can be caused by using the hand to push, rather than getting the shoulder and body behind the hand.

When dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve irritation occurs due to compression, but symptoms can extend beyond the wrist to include shooting pains and forearm discomfort.
